Guys, i'm a huge Mudvayne's fan.. but i'm still trying to find out where the band's name came from.. i heard that was from an medicine called Mudvayne... i really don't know..
Do you guys know where Mudvayne found that name for the band?

I think I heard somewhere they either pulled a piece of paper with that name out of a hat or they made it up or some shit. Can't be certain though.

I heard a nice opinion about it: Mudvayne - Shittube - Their music is putting your brain through shit tube and after all your brain is shit. It's like brainwash.
Other opinion I believe in is: Mudvayne - Mudvein.

i always thought Mudvayne was named after a drug term. Heroin i think....it can make your veins look like they are brown....like Mud, and so you get Mud Vein.
"Branded Forearm, Mudvayne Returned" that lyric seems to point in that direction also.

For me being somewhat local... This is what i am told. The illinois river runs right through peoria, which is famous for crappie fish. And their is something "in" or about the crappie "maybe the shit tube" that kinda sums up their feelings of the peoria area.."shitty"......sounds like bullshit but thats the only rumor i hear alot of.....Josh

I'm gonna have to stick with the drugs related one. Cause the lyric in Cultivate would make absolutely no sense if it was about a shrimp's poop chute. Maybe it was just a recurring term. With the drugs, the shrimp comparison.
