Man, those are some harsh reviews...I know I'll be on the rail with Kathy and Ginelly (anyone else???) at the HOB show, but I think I might have to pass on The New Game...I'll just jump and be crazy so no one will know I don't know the words.

Also, Rolling Stone has given two stars to every Mudvayne album, save for L.D. 50, which it gave 3. So that's par for the course for them.

Besides the fact that I love this album, Rolling Stones isn't a credible magazine if you ask me. Although yes, the 2nd review is also harsh, at least the reviewer comes across as being a fan of the band and has an honest opinion. Whatever, their loss.

The sputnikmusic review is spot on, this is not deserving of anything higher than a 2. Complete letdown.

Haha at least you'll only have to fake it during one or two songs since the majority of the setlist are all ones that we know & love! as for the reviews....I never put much faith in them whether it's for a cd, a movie or whatever. I would put even less faith in a Rolling Stone review LOL the last time they were relevant to the music scene (other than pop) was probably in the 70's. With most cds streaming somewhere before they're released, it's easier to form your own opinion and make the choice to buy or not.

LOL!!! Yeah, I'll be screaming my head off to the rest of their songs, I'll give my voice a break when they sing the new stuff As far as the reviews go...yes, they're pointless and really a waste of time. Yet even when L&F came out, the reviews sounded a little disappointed, yet still gave credit to the majority of songs on the album. This latest one just had some suprisingly harsh reviews compared to their other releases.

I hate Rolling Stone. Haha. Can't they just let go of Bob Dylan and Iggy Pop and realise there is a new breed of fantastic music?

I'm too afraid to read the reviews. Are they that bad? I've been listening to the CD in my car since I got it yesterday and I like it so far, but I'm not in love. I feel like there's a really, really obvious formula to all the songs...which is probably why they're all so short. And, lyrically, this isn't Chad's best, and you can barely hear Ryan which makes me sad. Greg's guitar sounds pretty cool on a couple songs, but it's pretty generic on others. I feel like a lot of the songs are that sort of radio generic "metal" stuff they play on radio stations meant for meatheads that like to bang their head and that's about it. I love banging my head, but give me something to bang my head to AND that I can sit and listen to and appreciate the intricacy of. But that's my two cents. So far I really like "Have it Your Way" and "Fish Out of Water" and "Dull Boy" the best.
