www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=155997Looks like we may be getting another HY album soon. I hope not. If Mudvayne can't even do a round of tours before that then they have officially called it quits in my opinion and anything Mudvayne does will be a fortunate occurance. Fuck Hellyeah. I get it that Chad and Greg's hearts are with HY now, but if that really is the case, show some dignity and respect to the fans and offically announce Mudvayne's retirement.

I was just about to post this same article. Makes me sad. HY takes a beating on Blabbermouth but I don't hate them. It's just not Mudvayne. And even though later Mudvayne isn't quite as good as LD 50 it's still Mudvayne! And you can say the same thing about multiple band's catalog.
If this really is the end of Mudvayne that's a shame. Maybe in a few years they'll pull some unreleased stuff outta the bag.

Yeah, I saw this article this morning too. I really wish we could get some updates from Mudvayne as to what the situation is. The last interview I've seen with Ryan or Matt was from over a year ago.

Mudvayne won't be around for another 2-3 years, we have to face it but there's hope they might do any shit before HellYeah puts out new record..

Oh Shi... They're already thinking about new record? Man, stampede it's from the past year, Hellyeah don't need another cd this soon ¬.¬ I still keep my hope, Mudvayne will back, sure, i just don't know when, since Chad said that while he's with Hellyeah, he don't do nothing related to Mudvayne =\

I must say I've grown tired of HY, when I first heard Stampede I really did like it. Now, I'm ready for a new Mudvayne album. I think is complete b.s. that they didn't even support the last album. I probably wouldn't have seen them if they had, be the fact of the matter is the fans got cheated out of tour support for some reason.
It was like give them (the fans) an album and then do whatever you want. Before you know it, the band goes their separate ways, then we're left standing like wtf? I figured by the time they wrapped the Jager tour we would start hearing some news about a tour for the last album or news on a new album.
But, then there is the aforementioned article with Maxwell posted on Blabbermouth, which leads me to the conclusion that Mudvayne is dead. Not wanting to lose hope I did a little research which features some quotes from Ryan, stating he is doing his own project and refers to Mudvayne in a past tense. I'm not sure if it is the same article or another with Matt stating that they are letting dust settle and see what happens from there.
I'd like to think the maybe after this new album from HY, Mudvayne will follow. But, I doubt it. Like posters above have stated either it'll be 2-3 years or maybe they should give the fans some acknowledgement and announce the disbandment for good.
Sorry about the rant, but it something that has been building. I'm really pulling for a new album from Mudvayne, but, unfortunately, it seems indicators show otherwise.

First 3 albums were really popular and they were demanded all over the world! Next 3 albums were just downhill, low sells, not big demand, venue changes, no europe tours.. There's a possibility they were proposed new contract, not good one, without europe tour, supporting someone and shit.. HellYeah is good vibe atm, demanded, people want to see Vinnie and boys, they get Europe tours, world tour, support tours in USA and Headlining tours.. Maybe they don't want Mudvayne to lose it's value ?

That is possible never thought of it that way. I would think, if that were the case, that make them determined to dig deep to make a album to re-establish themselves.

I'm of the opinion that since they have no more albums on their contract that's why they didn't tour for "Mudvayne" and why the label wouldn't push them to do it. There's no pressure for them to do anything at all, so why should they do anything if they don't want to. That would also explain why they weren't in the music videos, haven't really given interviews, haven't heavily promoted the album, etc. I think Matt is right too. Their "comeback" with The New Game kind of flopped, so maybe they lost a lot of enthusiasm for what they do if they were going by public opinion/reaction.

From those clips we heard, it sounds like it will be heavier. Definitely at least a year but probably longer I am seeing Hellyeah in 2 weeks so hopefully they play a couple new, heavier tracks
