interesting interview, discussing both Mudvayne & Hellyeah. As for what's happening after HellYeah..you'll have to read it & draw your own conclusions knac.com/article.asp?ArticleID=7759

It is pretty obvious Chad likes Hellyeah way more than Mudvayne. From Chad's tone in the interview it seems like Mudvayne is an obligation, and I'm really starting to doubt Mudvayne will be around much longer.

That was a really interesting interview, thanks for posting it. Definitely learned some new things. The hinting at all the bad shit that has happened to Mudvayne, Chad getting fucked up from LD50 and lack of record sales certainly helps explain the lack of motivation. Perhaps the other guys feel this too which is why they all seem so down and un-sure of Mudvayne right now. I feel sorry for the guys. They are a band that deserves great success, yet they never quite hit the big time in my opinion. Always feels like they are flying just under the radar. Which is a shame cuz they are a very hard working band. It's always reassuring that in all these interviews whoever is giving the interview is open minded about the future. But I still fear that the comeback will be short lived and a retirement will be announced. Maybe I'm just too cynical.

First thank you for posting it God, when i started to read this my heart was beating so fast, I was really affraid that Chad could say that he and Greg will stay in Hellyeah and Mudvayne is out, now I really cant say i'm relieved, the interwiew just proved to me what I already was fearing, Chad really likes be in Hellyeah, this make so good to him that just because I really like him so much i will accept if Mudvayne stop play(to me Mudvayne will never stop exist ...). But I still love , and keep my hope...

I don't think you're being cynical Jon....the interview left me feeling the same way If HellYeah keeps going, I'm at least hoping for some old-style Chad vocals and some real lyrics. either way (like was said above) we'll always have the Mudvayne music that we know & love to listen to.

Realistically speaking, I'm sure they would do at least one more tour cycle as a goodbye for the fans before calling it quits. And I would travel as far as needed to see a show.

I guess they're just tired... You can't help but notice they're beginning to tell the same story with different words. It makes me sad as hell though. I think it's something we're all starting to notice. I don't wanna accept it, but maybe they're on their last leg. What I'd give for them to know about this website. Maybe then they'd see a different light.

Umm.. What came to my mind is that they had to release the last records because of the contracts and they didn't tour the last record because it would be the last tour ever, they will pick a moment, I think they didn't want to promote the record and say 'This is the last record, this is the farewell tour' I'll always remember those guys as the best musicians, best band writing best records and songs, end is near, that's it.

hmm, what i think,is that after the whole lost and found tour, chad was at that moment where he just wanted to try something new,so he probably wanted to try to balance both bands so he could keep making music. And after the first touring cycle with hellyeah, you can tell chad was excited, which lead him more into liking hellyeah a little more. When mudvayne came back,it got him back in that mode, but not for long.Which is why we didn't get like a 2 year tour to cover both those albums. In my opinion if they did a tour for the last album,it would've been better for them. But i can understand where he's coming from. And the next time around when mudvayne comes back, its either one last album, one last tour,or both.

Very interesting interview. I am predicting we will not get another Mudvayne album, Chad seems happy in Hellyeah. However he did say he would like to tour the 'new' album with Mudvayne. Lets hope that will happen. I will refuse to live my life without seeing Mudvayne live!

What I'd give for them to know about this website. Maybe then they'd see a different light. when I met (ok, "stalked") Chad before a show in Dec 2008, I was able to talk with him for a bit, told him about this site & gave him a flyer for it. Hopefully he checked it out and would be REALLY nice if he continued to check it out occasionally. But if he's so happy in HY, how the fans feel may or may not make a difference
