Personally, although I think it seems shit, but you guys might be right. I mean, Hellyeah is just a bunch of guys drinkin' beer and goin apeshit at their instruments, while Mudvayne is so much more complex, Maybe their just tired of the effort they need to put in with Mudvayne? Or, actually you could look at it from a different angle, Mudvayne went a cut above the rest with this album, no one has ever done the blacklight album arm and this is quite possibly the second best record they have ever written. So maybe if this album sells well, which I think it will, like I think it will surpass the sales of Lost and Found easily. I reckon they will see this as a great opportunity to keep fans interested until the next tour. Coz we're all now dying for them to tour this album, and they're like playing with us, so we want it more. When Chad and Greg did Hellyeah, we were all dying for the next Mudvayne record, and we were all so anxious for a Mudvayne record that we actually enjoyed The New Game, what probably is their worst album to date. So now they have put out a record that kicks ass, and their letting it sit and dwell with us, that we will almost die until they tour it up promoting this album.
Plus I think you also have to look at this at a mature level. theyve just come off the back of a year-long tour, and although its not much in terms of most touring bands, all the Mudvayne guys are 35+ they have families and such to take care of. Its not like when they were 20-odd just going out getting smashed everynight, back then it was music first, I think now that their music has dropped down behind family. which is fine with me.
alright Im done, lol =D

as a true oxygen-waster, i really hope all these rumors don't come to fruition. i hold mudvayne true and dear to my heart and i'll always have a special place in there for Hellyeah but i hope mudvayne dont call it quits and just keep going. fine, do the hellyeah thing and tour for the next album but come back and kick our collective ass. to be honest, i know a lot of people are going to disagree with me and hate me for this but hellyeah is truly not terrible. there doesn't need to be thought behind their music, they're just a fun band. you listen to them and it makes you drink beer, hang out with your buddies, and just have fun. Chad said once before that Hellyeah is just a good feeling and they tried representing that best by their music, whereas Mudvayne is more of a thought process and thinking is required. whatever happens, i will always support either band with my heart and soul... just i'll support mudvayne more

to be honest, i know a lot of people are going to disagree with me and hate me for this but hellyeah is truly not terrible. Hellyeah fucking kickass man! apart from a shitty band name and some cheesy songs like Star and Alcohaulin' Ass, theyre a fucking sick band. But I get what your saying, fingers crossed they dont get tired of the Mudvayne thing and start preferring Hellyeah's laid back style. coz Im sure all of us would take a new mudvayne song over a whole album by Hellyeah anyday.

I dig HY alot. Just as the boys feel in Mud feel, you gotta take a break from complexity sometimes and enter simplicity

coz Im sure all of us would take a new mudvayne song over a whole album by Hellyeah anyday. i totally agree with you on that statement. the complexity and creativity could beat the crap out of any whole hellyeah album. when beautiful and strange came out, i was almost like "Hell-who?!?!"

I don't think it's just about simplicity that bothers people. Pantera was simple, but the songs still kicked major ass. HY comes across (to me anyways) as forced, with lazy song writing. The songs just aren't that memorable. They could be as good as Down if they wanted.
