Mudvayne thought they could wave this song under the radar w/o anybody finding it, well they didn't expect to have obsessed members from a forum called "The Mudvayne Pit"

OK, I thought it was bad that Have It Your Way was released, but this is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, this is a cool song, but by the time the record is released, we're already going to have heard half of it already.
But anywho, I can dig this song. The vocal melody kind of sounds depressing, which is pretty badass. Drums are amazing. Solid guitar riffs. But whoever mentioned the lack of 4+ minute songs is looking to be right. I'm not one to care how commercial sounding a song is, but if there are a lot of songs under 4 minutes, then I don't feel as fulfilled. I know Mudvayne aren't a band that does 11 minute epics, but usually their songs are 4:30-5:30 minutes. Oh well, I'm hoping We The People will be at least 6 minutes.

I agree. I wish their songs would be longer, but could be worse...could be 2-3 minute long songs. I dunno about the whole "radio friendly" stuff though. I remember Chad saying something along the lines of if he ever starts writing radio songs or lyrics then the band is fucked, hah.

We've heard 6 tracks out of 11, I'm pretty sure that's MORE then half the album. I don't know how I feel about this song....I really like Fish Out Of Water, Do What You Do, Dull Boy OBVIOUSLY but have it your way and this song....eh. I know I'll let it grow on me but srsly,

I like this song.......better than the one on Revolver's website....but they have definitely changed.....more of a mellow metal band now with more hooks than ever.....maybe the 2nd album will be balls to the wall heavy....

Well, I've never considered Mudvayne a metal band, maybe that's why I'm loving all these new songs. It may be cliched to say keep an open mind, but I mean, Mudvayne have been saying that since Monolith.

yea mudvayne have never really been a metal band to me,they've been a band with different styles, and they never really classified themselves, which is why i like these songs, cuz i see it in different aspects of music

I hope so. Cause so far I've been "eh" about the new stuff. I like "Dull Boy" and actually like "Do What You Do" and "Fish Out of Water" is pretty cool, but the slow stuff is turning me off. I know Chad said that there's no cross pollanation between Hellyeah and Mudvayne but I feel like there has been a bit. But maybe the tracks we haven't heard yet will blow us out of the water. I think most of us can agree that the songs they release as singles aren't always their best songs - they're just the most marketable.

My legs are weary, but I still walk My hands are sore and broken, but I still touch My heart is treated, but I still love My cup is empty, but I still pour All I ever wanted to be, all I ever needed to be Was whatever you wanted me to But you took that from me yeah
I was, never enough for you I should have known, I should have known I was never enough for you Don't waste my time, don't waste my..
I lost the feeling, but I still touch I stopped believing, but I still trust All I ever wanted to be, all I ever needed to be Was whatever you wanted me to But you took that from me yeah
I was, never enough for you I should have known, I should have known I was, never enough for you Don't waste my time
All these questions, asking why I'll just lose my eyes (my eyes) All these people, asking why I'll just wave goodbye (goodbye)
Time, pushing forward I'm sick and tired, need a little shelter Drag the glass across my eyes Cut me open cut me wide Bleeding for the winner Just to the winner
I was never enough for you I should have known, I should have known I was never enough for you Don't waste my time I was never enough for you Just wasted time, dont waste my..

This is a great song, to me Mudvayne was a metal band at first when L.D 50 came out. Then when TEOATTC came out, for me it was all about evolution. This is what that are, evolving musically and artistically and thats what I love about them.
