Local band sucked..Two Ton Anvil is the band..
Another Dark Day was pretty badass. I definately see Machine Head in that band, the lead singer kinda sounds like Rob Flynn, and kinda looks like him too. The pits were pretty sick for that band, which I think I've heard of the band before, but never the music..
Bury Your Dead is a band alot of people like. I on the other hand don't care for them too much but they put on a good show. I give them respect for the music they play, I wouldn't hate on them or anything, people were going nuts for them too. They are doing this contest on crowd surfing..see who can crowd surf the most, and high-five the lead singer. Was pretty cool, they were alright though as a non-fan. Ivan (lead singer from 5FDP) did a special appearance for the song I would guess is "Bury Your Fucking Dead" because that's all they screamed towards the end of the song, was pretty cool.
Five Finger Death Punch came on...And I gotta say..I'm pretty dissapointed. It's totally not their fault, their soundboard guy was fucking up something bad and the sound coming out was almost unbearable, the feedback was horrible it felt like my ears were going to bleed. He was like YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE giving him the finger and such..Next song the sound cleared up but Ivan was so pissed he threw a water bottle purposely at the soundboard in the back of the venue...Song after that it went back to horrible sound again. They put on a great fucking show, I moshed my ass off, and I am sore from head to toe, but it was great. Bad part about it was some GIGANTIC fat, yet muscular dude was pushing people, ended up pushing me and I tripped over a guy that was like on his knees on the floor, the back of my legs hit him and I landed straight on the back of my head. I have a horrible throbbing headache right now. So when 5FDP comes around for you guys, expect better sound because I'm quite sure they fired this guy or something. Good show all in all.

On another note, I was complimented on the MUDVAYNE shirt I was wearing to the show. This dude comes up and says fuck yeah Mudvayne I like your shirt man. I asked him if he was coming to see them on Dec. 2nd. He was like I'll get tickets when they are on sale. I told him they've been on sale to the public since the 29th. He was completely lost, he was like man I swear I check everyday, I go to places and see if they got tickets and they tell me no. I tried telling him about maybe ordering the CD and getting a ticket, when the CD was on pre-sale...he told me he heard nothing about no pre-sale special. So I went on rambling about if he got the CD he would get the password to put into ticketmaster and blah blah. He was just lost when I was telling him. He must of been drunk, though it didn't look like it, maybe just 'tarded.

Thanks for the info! I was looking forward to checking out Another Black Day since they're from here in Ft. Lauderdale. The songs on their myspace were kind of mild, but I'll trust your MH comparison ;D Really sucks about the sound problems. I know a lot of people had been waiting for this headlining tour and I can imagine the band must have really been pissed off since they couldn't give the audience their best (through no fault of their own). I'm glad you ended up having a good time after all....and you'd better get your head checked out if it's still hurting! about the Mudvayne shirt-I love it when people say stuff about bands on my shirts (it happened to me yesterday @ Whole Foods wearing one of my MH shirts ) and I compliment others when they're wearing a great band shirt too. It shows you have some common ground and adds to the metal camaraderie. Maybe it's just because I'm obsessed with concerts and with certain bands, but I could never figure out why people who claim to LOVE a particular band don't even know when that band is touring or in the case of the guy you met-when tickets are on sale. Between Myspace, Ticketmaster and Blabbermouth, there is just no excuse!

I forgot to mention In This Moment. They were pretty good live, and of course she's HOT so I went up front for the band. She sounded pretty good. Only thing that pissed me off was people were moshing to songs that were unnecessary for moshing. Good performance though.
Another thing that pisses me off though...Before 5FDP came on Slipknots 'Duality' came on. People were going nuts and actually started moshing to the song. I'm not hating on Slipknot but I just never thought they were THAT special. I seen this going on and I just kept saying C'mon, it's only Slipknot. The reason why I say this is because when I went to concerts back when PANTERA was around, people would go nuts and start moshing, and thats pretty reasonable...I just didn't get it.

I thought you purposely left out ITM. Glad you enjoyed them...maybe it's because you're a guy? oooooohhhhh Ginelly's going to be pissed at you about the Slipknot crack! LOL But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Maybe the premature moshers were ones that had gone to Mayhem where both bands played together. Personally, I can't see moshing to the music before a show (save your energy!), but I love when everyone sings along to Walk or CFH which tend to be played a lot while setting up the stage at our venues. At Mayhem Atlanta, people were crowdsurfing while MH was still setting up!

If you've already seen 5FDP, I'd go with Dimmu...I think...that tour has a great line-up. Actually I'd probably choose based on how much I liked the venue.

Not Pantera, not even Slipknot....this time it was Journey "Don't Stop Believing" which just added to my nightmare since they were playing a bunch of shitty Van Halen before that Unearth was worth it though-always a great performance!

well i know its not the best decision, but i didn't go to either and this was my reason.I needed to save my money for a new pa system for my mic and needed to save money for my bands t-shirts.But i am not disappointed in missing both shows because i've seen both bands here before and i know they'll come back for sure.Dimmu have been here 3 times since In Sorte Diaboli came out

Sometimes you just have to pass up the good shows. Sounds like you made the right choice.
