To me it's so much easier when you meet bands outside of the venue. With meet & greets, you spend all that time waiting in line, knowing you only have a few moments to get it all out what you wanted to say once you get your chance. With a casual meetings, most band members will hang out for a while (in some cases a long while!) talking to fans, it makes you feel more at ease. Also, you can get a REAL photo, not a "leaning over the table" one!

and Lauren-you reminded me, I need to get one of my tattoos touched up before that! Also, if you're debating about the tattoo, don't do it just so you can show Ryan. Be sure that's exactly what you want to live with the rest of your life and PLEAAAASE be sure you've got a tattoo artist who knows what the fuck they're doing! I have Severed lyrics on my foot but won't be showing the band that because my artist fucked up on it-did the wording too small (although he should have known better since he's been tattooing for almost 30 years). So it's not as clear as it was when I first got it 4 years ago. Actually, according to the artist I have now, I may have to cover it up and re-do the lyrics elsewhere. Not that I ever regret getting Mudvayne lyrics on me at all...I only totally regret my choice of tattooist on that one.

My tattoo artist is really, really good so I have the utmost trust. I haven't decided which lyrics to get yet, but if it's Mudvayne I'd really like to be able to show them all - not just Ryan! Of course, I'm not going to make any quick decisions cause, like you said, it's on me forever! It's just hard picking one or two lines cause there's soo many songs that mean a lot to me. Sometimes I wish I could just tattoo my whole body, haha.

See but the weird thing is I will meet other bands and be fine with it, I've met a handful of bands and have been fine talking to them whether it was a meet and greet, or outside the venue after the show. The Hellyeah thing was a meet and greet before the show, we were in Wisconsin at Summerfest and we were walking around the festival just checking shit out, and literally the band walked right past me then went behind this booth and sat down for signings. The security were rushing the shit outta people, when it was my chance up I wanted to take a pic with the band and the security guy was like give me that camera ill take a pic and make it quick, I couldnt move and the angle I was at I was in Chads way, so to top it off, the pic taken..CHAD WAS BLOCKED OUT...You can see him pointing at the camera behind me but he was blocked...At by the look on my face..I was fucking pissed that the security rushed me like that, I got to say what I wanted really quick, then move along.

Lauren-I know exactly what you mean-it's IS so hard to pick just a few lines from all of this awesome music surrounding us! There are some complete songs I'd love to get tattooed on me ;D but so far I've settled for parts of a few of them. I do plan to show the band my Mud triangle (that's the one I want to get touched up/recolored) before the show. And my HAPPY? one too. I also wanted to add "the space between a blink and a tear" to my Death Blooms one...hopefully finances will allow that soon.

Kood-I know what you mean about security! I really don't think it's the bands that are rushing people through like that. And seriously, was the guy that took your photo blind??? How could he not know you wanted Chad in there? If they're so worried about time constraints, they should have a person there who can take photos for the fans. Some of the Ozzfest bands did that.

After we met HellYeah, I was so disappointed, I almost wish I hadn't gotten to meet them at all and my photos with Greg, Chad and Vinnie were so bad that I don't even want to post them. I really didn't even get to "meet" Tom or Bobzilla since I got shoved down the line so fast!

I just checked the House Of Blues Orlando on ticketmaster-tickets are available there now. and the two prices are gone...now there's only one and it's the cheaper one.
