Well I went to Youtube, and it is on there already. Listening now. (3:36 later) I like how they are using acoustic guitars on this record. Very good bassline. Like the vocals and lyrics. Catchy but still damn good chorus. Good drumming as well. The Lost and Found type guitar riffs are back, but with better production makes it sound good. Solid guitar solo. Overall much better than I thought it would be.
After first listen- 7.5/10 After second listen- 8/10
I won't be surprised at all if my liking of this song grows after more listens. It is also fueling my theory of what this record will sound like. I'm thinking they will continue in the direction of LaF, but more refined song writing and evolution (guitar solos, "softer" songs like this one and FOUW [if you can call that one soft] are more dynamic than songs like Fall Into Sleep and Happy). But with A New Game (the track) one can tell they are making good on Greg's promise of "more metal riffage". So combine better song writing and production than the last record, and movement into different territory (as they always do) I am thinking this record is going to be fucking epic.

I feel like such a tool having been so worried about this album and then actually hearing these songs I'm so fucking happy and pleased LOL.
And, fucking, SOLO, wow, they're really bringing the south along this time XD.
Oh, and that ------------ line i think is "constant suffocation" and i believe it's 'mend the bones' not 'meant'. Thank you so much though, most of the song I had no idea what he was saying XD

Well "Do what you do" isn't mind blowing but still pretty good. I have bad feeling about song "New game" because it really sounds like Hellyeah even back vocals are same like some of Hellyeah songs. By the way don't know if you have seen this, it's a longer version of "Fish out of water " preview. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6A38LxrUTw

The point about southern influence- I hope not. (sarcasm) Last I heard they are from Peoria, not fucking Texas or Mississippi. But I am over reacting. I like when bands expand their sound, and Mudvayne can do whatever fucking style they want and they can pull it off.

I liked it b/c it was tasteful, not just soloing for the fuck of it like a lot of bands do (like I'm assuming Death Magnetic is). I also like how Ryan's backing riffs are just as good as the solo.

The whole band have definately stepped up a notch (which i didn't think was possible but they did!). Personally i can't get enough of the song.

yeah, its not as "poppy" as we thought it'd be. Anything they do, they can easily make dynamic and have alot of meaning, and thats something I really enjoy about them
