i AM FUCKING PISSED!
"We created 'The Album Is The Ticket' program to give back to the fans that have supported us for so many years," the band's frontman, Chad Gray, said in a press statement. "Traditionally, over the life cycle of an album, a fan purchases a CD, DVD, tickets to a show and a fan club membership, generally spending over $100 for the experience. For the launch of 'The New Game,' fans can experience all of these elements for well under $40."

I thought that meant the ticket would be cheaper too, so album with ticket is into the $60 range. But fan club membership is usually around $30 if I'm not mistaken, and are we getting a dvd? Curious.....

Curious..... Ive spent 60+ on the album and ticket. $60 is not "well under $40" is it? Am I missing something here? I am really getting sick and tired of the inconsistencies of mudvayne...

Atlanta is $28 before ticketbastard adds all their fees. It was $48 total I believe. I'm happy with that. I've spent $100 a ticket for shows before and this is Mudvayne!!!

I just bought my $26.25 ticket for $41.40 but I have a question for those of you who bought your tickets already for other venues....when I went on Ticketbastard to order for HOB Orlando, it showed two prices, one was $26.25 and the other was $42.25. The venue is general admission, the only ticket choice was general admission and there was no explanation or any "extras" given for the $42.25 price. Does anyone else's venue have the two prices? I was thinking MAYBE the $26 one is for people who preordered the album and the other price is what it's going to be when tix go on sale to the general public on Saturday? MAYBE they are cutting us some slack, but Ticketmaster surely isnt!

I hate how they have this thing set up, seriously. Saving money my fucking ass, lol. You have to buy two cds to get two tickets and the tickets are expensive as hell. I only got one cd and I was going with my dad, so I can't really get both. :/ I have to wait until they go on sale... Well, this is shit, lol. But I am going to the Virginia one. I'm so happy. My first concert. ;D I will lose my concert virginity to Mudvayne, lol.

This was just a scam to get more presales for the new album. There were only a limited # of tix available for this at each show for the fanclub members. Houston sold out of promo tix in less than 4 minutes - and I was logged on and waiting at 12:00 p.m. straight up today waiting to get mine. SO that being said, I pre-ordered the cd and didn't get tickets to the show. Now I just have to wait until they go on sale to the general public and buy them like normal. I could've saved my time and $15 for a cd that I'm gonna get in the mail a week after it is released?? So there's another $10 I'm gonna spend on I-tunes downloading the new cd at midnight on 11/18. Seriously though - I like mudvayne they're awesome but I just really think they've dropped the ball too much. They wait like 3 yrs between albums which is way too long in today's metal scene. They toured Lost and Found for a long time, and never put a dvd out, which would've been great for the fans and kind of appeased us until the new album came out. Seems like they were riding high after that album, and just let the bottom fall out from under them. This kind of stuff keeps happening with them, poor mgmt, not putting stuff out when they tell fans they are, etc.... I remember in 05 I saw them in Dallas and had bought a fan club membership which guaranteed that I would meet the band before the show. When I got there, there were like 50 or so of us who had these vouchers, and the mgmt at the show was like we don't know anything about this?? Finally after we all started getting riled up and everyone was drunk and stuff some dude got my voucher and went back and finally got the band somewhere we could meet them. Yes we did get to meet them, but it was several hours waiting and I had to piss so bad but I was first in line and there was no way I was giving that spot uo! Anyway, I'm disappointed right now and didn't really like fish out of water so I'm worried about a new game.....

MAYBE they are cutting us some slack, but Ticketmaster surely isnt! I'll find out for the both of us on Saturday. I'm not gonna pre-order the album, I'm just gonna buy the regular general admission tickets at House of Blues box office. I cannot buy an album unless I know I'm gonna like more than 3 or 4 songs out of that album. Mudvayne albums were never a dissapointment for me. I don't love them as much as I use to, but I still do have much respect for them and will support them til the end and will go to live shows whether I like their new album or not. Hopefully the new album won't be a dissapointment, but just I cannot buy it unless I know for sure it's worth buying.
