I'm hijacking Kim's thread. Sorry. <promises to make it brief and give it back in a relatively timely manner!>
Well, I've been "away" due to my inability to post Well and Good after crazy hours spent at work: our "Season" normally starts anytime in May--but the new field editors took their editorial timelines to heart and have made us busy since the beginning of March. However, based on "forecasts" through August---we're still on schedule to collapse across the finish line by Lughmass (August 1st) thansk to the canny abilities of our "old hat" sales/editorial force.
Thank you for the job security (no, really: you really do have my Kiitos!), but where's my Balance?!!!
So: my 'Argentina'--I work too much; I cannot breath as well as I once could a year ago (it's not asthma or cancer, so I'm hoping it's stress and GERD-related nonsense); and I'm a bit stressed at the enfolding situation within my Fam.
Briefly: my mom's been estranged from me and my oldest brother since '95/1996; my Korn-loving baby Bro is the only family member she's been in contact with regularly. Won't go into the particulars, but let's just say: the Fallen One takes a few forms on this earth: and I've seen, met, and been at the bad recieving end of at least one of them. Devil on my mom's shoulder. Well, she's chosen to shrug him off, and but good, and for good. Dude just won't quit...but he's met his match in my mom (God help him...oh wait. He forsake that some time ago...Sucks for him!!)
So, tomorrow morning, in Crystal River, FL, one woman will walk out of one life, and into another. My Korn-loving baby Bro and cousin PeterB, Jr. will be wating outside of the property boundaries ready to etiher pack the vehicle with some stuff quickly that can be salvaged amid the presumed chaos...or open the front passenger-side door for a woman who's decided that the shirt on her back is quite good enough for her after all, thank you very much!
We'll see. I've not spoken of this before here, and most likely won't in detail again, other than in PM to certain Mods....but I'll say this now: I've a fair bit of English in me...and we have the patience of Job. My mother, brother and cousin better be leaving for GA this afternoon or evening in one piece (each!), whole and hale.
<gives back thread....>
