I really hope Jon gets some help, I wanna hear some positive messages coming from his lyrics. I'm tired of all the negative that they put into their lyrics. Korn is at the end of their career IMO, and I would love them to go out with a bang, a good bang. A happy ending to all the sadness portrayed in their lyrics would be great. That's deep, I know.

Its all about how he is feeling. its his life and thats what he writes about. Happy shit would be boring i thimk but if he was happy id understand. mudvayne is far more negative in thier lyrics than korn is. trust me i listen to both CDs alot. theres alot of sex in korns disc but thats not negatifve. lol thier working on the next CD already starting september 24.

I'm gonna agree with Khris on this one, Matt...Mudvayne is much more negative lyrically, yet you never feel depressed at the end of one of their songs like you would with, say, Staind (whom I loathe). Jonathan's lyrics may seem negative, but he comes across as being pissed that he even feels that way in the first place. Chad's lyrics are like that too, but JD's has more sexual overtones that I don't think would suit Mudvayne fans (well, at least the male ones anyway! ).

The main thing with either band is that they write from the heart. Whatever they're feeling comes across in their songs-you get the real sense that they've been there/done that or at least known someone who has. And that's why fans can relate so easily to them. on that note~FAMILY VALUES one week from tonite!

Lets just hope new Mudvayne and Korn CD's will be fucking great. Both will be great and come out at the same time. that will be very good. I'm gonna agree with Khris on this one, Matt...Mudvayne is much more negative lyrically, yet you never feel depressed at the end of one of their songs like you would with, say, Staind (whom I loathe). Yup its not Chad is very negative but the last CD was more negative than korns last one. if your a krazy korn fan like me youd notice that one song is about music helping you out and making things better. Naw, I have a vac coming up at the end of the month...i need to save my $$. and my bf is talking about going on another 7-day cruise for new year's...gotta save more money to blow in the virgin islands and cayman islands! lol But, like i said, if mudvayne were gonna be there, then i wouldn't be taking a week off to go see my g-rents in MA, i'd be crashin on your couch! hehe make your bf take you too see KORN and Deftones and Stone Sour!

I'd like BOTH bands to write some postive lyrics. I mean break the norm of Metal and lighten up! Belive me, I listen to Christian Death Metal and other Christian types of metal and lyrics wise, they are both equally awesome. Musically, however, secular bands blow christian out of the water.

You've got a good point, flkmnky, in that Christian metal can sound really good. But I think that, since secular bands tend to explore so many religions, so many controversial and unconventional ideas that many Christians are afraid to consider, it tends to create that darker edge that satisfies so many people deep down inside one's gut. That's just my take on it.

To me Mudvayne's lyrics are very positive as are many hardcore bands such as Hatebreed. fuck christian metal. i respect christian bands but not metal bands. they still do drugs drink and fuck bitches. they dont play at thier church so thier posers trying to appeal to everyone. There are bands of all genres who do drugs, drink and fuck bitches. And there are bands from all genres that don't and I'm sure there are plenty of Christian bands who play at their churches and other religious gatherings. Generalizing doesn't work with that. If I like a certain song I don't care if the band is Christian, Atheist, Agnostic or whatever. and I always think it's really cool when Christian and darker metal bands are on the same tour together...such as As I Lay Dying and The Chariot with Behemoth at SOTU and POD at Ozzfest.
