yeah, a little consideration & common sense would be nice-even in a mosh pit! I realized I didn't update my worst (most of the regulars on here already know about it).....LOG/Machine Head/Trivium/Gojira April 1st of this year, fucking awesome lineup, fucking awesome show. The bad part came during LOG, I was on the rail and a crowd surfer came over me and as security was pulling him over the guy dropped down, almost taking my head with him. Hurt like hell, but I stayed where I was. A song or two later, another big crowd surfer (they were pretty much constant) came over me and I ducked down, not wanting to be nearly decapitated again! He landed on top of me, causing my chest to hit the rail. I heard a distinct "crunch" and had trouble catching my breath. I didn't know exactly what was wrong with me, but I stayed in my spot to see the rest of the show. I found out later (after I went to Urgent Care Center) that I had hit my sternum. it took a few weeks to recover completely, but "worst experience" was only that part of it. The rest of the concert was awesome because I got to meet Mark & Willie from LOG and Travis from Trivium. Got to touch Robb Flynn and got 2 picks from Trivium. I also met someone there who I have become good friends with. You could almost say it was my worst AND one of my best concert experiences!

I hate crowd surfers and I hate it when people start mosh pits close to the railing. A lot of times it ruins it for me I haven't had a bad experience since 2005, but I was really dissapointed at this years' EDBD I'll have to say my best one up to date would be Stone Sour back in April. Met up with my fav girls on this forum ;D And of course, the highlight- meeting Corey at the Virgin Mega store. I've always wanted to meet a rock star in there and it's still hard to believe it happend to be my fav vocalist ;D And of course, the show was flawless. Kept my spot the whole time, Corey didn't have a shirt on from start to finish ;D And all the bands sounded great!

One of the worsts was HellYeah so many crowd surfers and they started off with HellYeah, Matter of Time and Goddamn so they put up three of their heaviest songs first. I felt my ribs pretty much bend and so all jelly like during the 3rd song and Greg looked heaps worried for me then after Chad jumped in the crowd it was all good =] Touching Chad cures everything haha. I also just got off crutches on the friday and i was in the hellyeah pit on saturday night. But after like Thank You, Stone Cold Wasted, Star and Alcohaulin Ass this guy kept putting his arm around me yet pulling me down so after a while of chucking his arm off and moving closer to my mate he eventually got taken out of the pit due to the fact he passed out from drinking lol. But yeah i guess all the pain goes with he excitement.

Ok, mines changed, LOL ;D. I'll have to say that I just had my best concert experience on Sat (sept 1). Not only did I keep my very sweet spot on railing, but the band did awsome onstage. Played a sweet setlist, played my fav SS song I never thought I'd hear live ;D And, of course meeting the band again, kissing Corey, getting signed, etc. If you wanna know more, I posted a review But yeah, best night of my life up to date. I miss that band already

So i've only been to two concerts coz i live in the middle of nowhere.
My first, The Butterfly effect. It was in a smallish club, lots of booze. Anyway, they are my fav band, there were maybe about 300-400 ppl there. The mosh was pretty small, maybe only about 150 ppl in it but it was still damn good! I was in the front row being bashed against the stage....I got to touch the singers chest, it was the best moment of my life. How I wish i could go back *sigh* The next day I was covered in bruises, it hurt for so many days after. There was alot of guys jumping on me at first, i was right in the middle of it all, hard to stand up really, but then when I got to the front it was all better. I almost had the drumsticks but my mate stole them off me. There was a drunken lesbian next to me constantly trying to pash me but hey thats not as bad as it coulda been. Everyday I wish I could relive it, I took two friends that didn't like the band as much as me, and tbh they really fucked up the experience for me. But lets not dwell on that.
The next was in my home town. The radio station triple j held a competition and my town won so grinspoon played here. Not that I like grinspoon...I mean they are okay, but a concerts a concert. 9000 ppl turned out, it was free and no one else here has anything better to do. Anyway the moshpit was terrible!! The people here were so inconsiderate, they didn't care about the band. For a while I had this guy with his elbow over my neck and i couldn't breathe. Eventually I ended up in teh second row, i was being pushed and shoved around so much, it was hard to breathe, smelt like a giant arm pit. My ribs were hurting so bad, if it were tool or something I would have handled it, but it was only grinspoon...and alas, not worth it. So I got pulled out by the security guards...and guess who happened to be wearing a skirt! So i flashed the world my knickers...well done...
Whoever had the patience to read that incredibly long pointless ramble...I love you and thank you for your time lol

pointless? not at all! you were right on topic ;D
I think every show has it's good & bad points. maybe the Grinspoon one was so bad because there aren't a lot of shows in your area, everyone had all that moshpit energy just waiting for a band to come around! Sucks about your skirt going up though...it's funny because Ginelly & I just had a conversation tonight about how bad it must be to wear a skirt to a show. I guess you learned your lesson! You're lucky that nothing else happened...

Hahaha Yeah I thought it was a bad idea to wear a skirt too but i don't own pants! Its too hot here to wear pants...all I have is jeans and you can only wear them in winter here or you melt! Its okay tho, the more concerts you go to, the more experience you get in what you should and shouldn't do. I've learnt 4 things
Wear proper shoes Don't wear a skirt Tie up your hair Don't wear jewellery that can get caught on ppl (i always forget that one)
I mean suuuure they seem pretty obvious but they aren't really when you remember how excited you get before a show and you jus plain forget
