Yeah, now you know why I was a little hesitent about EDBD. But it turned out great after all, and as my 1st outside concert- I'm very satisfied To tell you the truth, since my bad experience, everytime I see a show at a smaller venue, whenever the crowd seems to be surrounded around me too close, I get really anxious. Even at EDBD, during Nothig to Gein I got really nervous because it seemed to intensify during that song- Luckly It didn't get bad though But whever you see me looking back like every minute, then you'll know I'm getting nervous about the crowd. I hope this "crowd fear" lessens with every concert I go to. The last thing I want to do is quit going to concerts. But this is also the reason why my fiance wants to go with me to every concert, because he feels guilty that he wasn't there to help me at that 7 Dust concert.

Well, lifeisopaque, you should definitely make sure you're on top of who is playing there so you don't miss them again! And Ginelly, sorry to hear that. That's happened to my sister-in-law cuz she's 5 ft. too, and she gets all nervous now too. I'm glad your 1st Mudvayne concert was much better. Wow, Mom, that's kinda hard to imagine your feet not even touching the ground! Sonds like fun though! And yeah, women have it a lot worse than men at these things. All those nasty drunk groping perverts.

Women do have it harder in concerts- it's a downfall for us shorter ones. I'm sorry your sister went through the same situation Leslie. Is she still able to go to concerts though? I'm sorry to hear about your scary experience too mom . I guess us girls can relate to this. Leslie, it's good that you can read about our experiences and learn how not to get into these situations- you're lucky. And yeah, how was your 1st crowd surfing experience like mom? I've never done it myself, so I wouldn't know how it feels like- but I'm always kinda curious ;D

Only at certain concerts. When i saw incubus the singer was real close to me and chicks were all over my back. im not complaining but i doubt they were having a hard time.

I've never done it myself, so I wouldn't know how it feels like- but I'm always kinda curious ;D To be honest, I was just trying to get the fuck out of there! And it was 20 years ago, before crowd surfing became as popular as it is now. I wouldnt recommend it and I cant stand people who do it now...unless they are just trying to get out! I dont want to be engrossed in the show only to be kicked in the head by some asshole! At Ozzfest, if you surfed to the security area, they made you just turn around and squeeze back into the crowd...unless you were injured. I guess the only way out was to the back or the side! Yeah, leaning on a guy is the next best thing to a rail, as long as he knows you're ONLY leaning

She doesn't like getting too close though, cuz she can't see and get's all stepped on. And yeah, I'm taking in all these tips. I don't think I'd like to crowdsurf, I'd hit someone, and I wouldn't be comfortable having people touch me like that.

well, i can't say i've had a bad experience at a concert...i've only been to 3! my first was chili peppers and foo fighters 6 or 7 years ago (i was in a dave grohl phase...i've moved on to my chad gray phase!), the 2nd was the extended guerilla tour w/ mudvayne at jannus landing in st. pete....a small open courtyard, surrounded by 2-story buildings, 1000 people max...on labor day weekend. it was 90degrees all day that day, and even when the sun went down, there was no breeze to speak of with the buildings in the way and all of the icky sweaty shirtless guys around...by the time mudvayne came on, people were passing out from the heat and being carried away by security. the bouncers were poking holes into water bottles and shooting it into people's mouths if they needed it. i was a row away from the rail, and lasted about 3 songs into their set b4 i had to make my way to the back b4 i passed out myself...people just ran to the back, puked, and kept walking. i hate thinking of all the folks who just blithely walked thru that nastiness without knowing it. chad kept his suit on for 3 songs, it made me feel better cuz at least he knew how fucking hot we all were! the best was seeing them at HOB in dec...had a great seat at a table with a perfect view, and the place was nice and cold!

The Dec one did kick ass The only thing that suck was that we were in front (left starcase close to the speakers) for the 1st 3 bands only. What happened was that right before Mudvayne came out, it crowded around too much where I was for my comfort. I got scared (hence my bad experience) so I told my fiance, "we have to go upstars now!!") So last minute we push our way upstairs, to where the seats area was (so I probably wasn't too far from where you were ) Luckly it worked out b/c I learned that pretty much anywhere at the HoB is a good view. And I really enjoyed seeing the show comfortably without having to worry about getting hurt. - Awsome night all together!!!

Wooooow. All of my eperiences have been amazing. Breaking Benjamin, Staind, 3 Doors Down - Every band brought their own to the stage. Sooo amazing. Breaking Benjamin was crazy awesome. Staind was incredible. 3DD was sooooooo great. 10 years, Sevendust, Mudvayne - Met Jesse and Lewis from 10 years. They were soooo amazing Sevendust kicked ass and Mudvayne owned. (3 days later) Disturbed - CRAZY! I was in the pit. The band seriously kicked major ass. I went to the doctor the next day, turned out I broke 3 ribs from being in the pit. Silverstein (yes, I saw them live) - Great performance. Crazy pit. Got a black eye. 10 years, Mudvayne, Korn - ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS EVER. All three bands owned the stage at their time. All were soo incredible and amazing! Korn kicked ass. (tonight) Madena Lake, Flyleaf, 10 years - At first I never heard of ML buuut they were good. Flyleaf was awesome. Lacey is my idol. 10 years owned all. They were incredible. Every song performed with such emotion. Definitely one of the best concerts. You must really like 10 Years... I am going to see them again at the 95 WIIL Rockfest in July. ;D

I was wearing a big nightmare b4 xmas hoodie with a huge jack's head on the front. how about when chad went off on the asshole who threw his shoe onstage? and all the idiots that kept throwing the ice from their drinks right at him when he was in the middle of a song and he would just flip em off?

I remember that. People threw things at him at EDBD too. I don't know why they do that, but I assume that people who do are trying to piss him off, b/c he does show anger when things are thrown at him. And yes, I was just around the corner from you
