Well, as I do love Stone Sour, I've decided to go the show in Mansfield. I wasn't going to, as I'm currently not too keen on many of the bands on this particular bill (*cough* Korn...) ...though I *have* decided to raid iTunes and sample some of the music that you all are so keen on (my born-again love for Metal is still a thing I'm going slowly with!!) www.metalnmore.com/Home2.htm is a site that I've not seen referenced on the main MV site---I just found an interview with Matt--hvymtlmom, your SOTU photos are way better than some the images credited to this site! |

Thanks for the site candle, and the compliment....hmmm, what I would have given to be the one taking those Children of Bodom pictures for that site! I'm not crazy about some of the bands on Family Values either, although I do like Korn and Stone Sour. It's a great idea to study up on some of the bands that you're unfamiliar with. Myspace is perfect for that~every band has a few songs up on their page. Then you can download ones you like. Also keep in mind that sometimes the concert atmosphere makes even the not-so-wonderful bands seem better. Don't worry, you're going to have a nice time! ;D ...and Kim is right about Khris, but Korn puts on a great live show so I 'm sure you won't be disappointed! |

I think some female rock singers can be really good, but only if they don't try to scream like a man...women's vocal chords aren't meant to make growls, and it just comes off sounding like an angry 12 yr old trying to sing. Point in case: Kittie. Great, catchy songs, but when that chick starts doing her 'death metal' scream, I just cringe inside.
