...and I like that the picture kinda shows his not-so-serious side

I think Chad just has a serious look to him, but I don't think he's really that way. Just a sarcastic goofball!

I agree--the only thing I'm not taken with about his images! I've never photographed a rock show before, and I imaging it must be difficult in big outdoor settings (little outdoor settings are fine!), but still--Nadine Swiger of muscianphotojournal.com does a great job! Seems to be this guy's style, though. Maybe he'll perfect it over the years. I do like the quality of light, though.

I'm sure the angles depend on where the photographer is allowed to be. Since it's most often in the security pit, shooting up may be the only option. Most security pits are not very wide either, so moving back to get a wider angle may not be possible either. Personally, I love those shots, makes me feel like I was in the pit ;D You are so right about the lighting~just perfect, really brings out his eyes........

^ I wouldn't want to be jostling for space in the photopit at all--I'd lose my concentration (which is probably why I'm not a concert photographer!) And to paraphrase Matt...yeah, the lovely blue of Chad's eyes "pop like a motherf&%#er!" They really are lovely...

See it's that kind of angle that I don't like. Although it does make Greg look like he has a really poofy mullet.
