Oh how I want. Fucking badly. I find it funny how they say that bassists of all skill levels are welcome, but the lesson consists of Mudvayne songs...

*sigh* I doubt I can ask that Ryan help transcribe his most-lovely basslines into something I could saw away to happily on *my* 4-string ax. How could his double-jointed fingerings be translated into fiddle bowing? Maybe they could, with loving moderation.

I want to do this, but my gut tells me that I'd be disappointed. From the guidelines it seems that there would be no time to really have a conversation, and I know from experience that one hour lessons do not cut it. Plus if I get a lesson from him, I want to learn his theory and technique, not 1 song that I'll forget by the time I get home from the gig hours later (which includes carrying my bass the whole show). I can just see me waiting, he shows up, get the lesson/autograph/photo, and then he leaves right after to prepare for the gig. I wish it was 2 hours, then it'd be worth it.

Such a shame. This guy is my idol and instinct tells me not to do this.

who knows,if you do get the chance to talk to him,maybe he might talk more,its all a matter to show him how true of a fan you are to him and maybe he'll make more time to talk

So, anyone read or hear about folks taking Ryan up on his offer of lessons? And no, I've not been on their official site in a few weeks, so maybe I should just steel myself and head on over there...
