After seeing preview of the new video I thought that the video is going to be crap. But it’s not it’s quite good (I like how the face comes alive from the roentgen photo).

OH MY GOD! That was awesome! Did you catch all the little things for us fans? Those numbers, butterflies, twister, the chemical references, the gorilla suit, come and play! That was just fantastic! And Chad wearing black gloves is yummy!

Alright, I just watched the full clip of their Do What You Do video, and while I agree with Kathy that it doesn't sound like the old Chad/Mudvayne (Greg's little solo was lame), the guys are getting up there age-wise. I think I'd rather Chad sing/scream in his new (limited) range, than try to sing songs from 10 years ago that he can't do as well as he used to. He just sounds bad, trying to push his vocal chords to do things they just can't do anymore. IMO, the song isn't bad, a bit too radio friendly perhaps, but look what happened to the Foo Fighters. They used to be nuts onstage and Dave Grohl could really get his scream on, but now that he's in his 40's, married and a father to boot, his bandmates aren't drinking themselves into a stupor backstage, their songs have taken on a different tone.
At least we can be grateful that Chad's not flashing his AARP card in their music videos, lol!

Aww poor guys. Hey, Ozzy's still kicking it and he should've expire loooong ago. If he can go onstage and sound more coherent singing than talking, then I have all the faith in the world in Chad. Maybe his screams/singing will just change and sound equally cool but in a different way. Example, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. I think how he sings now isn't as "pretty" as it was in the 70s but it's a lot cooler, more distinct. Chad's screams have become higher and more shriek-y over the past couple records, not as guttaral as on LD50, but I think that's what makes him sound so unique.

For me it's not so much the fact that he can scream well, it's that he shows a very good range with the ability to sing melodies after a scream. The combination of the two give him one of the more distinctive voices today. Think about voices you know instantly: Jonathon Davis, Axl Rose, Corey Taylor, Serj, etc etc, and I would've said Ozzy but Zakk can sound eerily like him, and so can Fireball Ministry's singer. I've seen mudvayne live 3 times and I've never seen him be able to sing everything perfect but he actually does the screams better than anything......you should hear nothing to gein live dude.....anyway he's got the best voice in metal/rock today to me...
