I read this yesterday and then saw it again in a Mudvayne email this morning...... "When a fan pre-orders THE NEW GAME (regular CD or deluxe edition with special packaging) via www.BestBuy.com/Mudvayne, they have the opportunity to purchase a ticket for "The New Game Tour 2008": each pre-sale physical CD (with free shipping) will be accompanied by a code that will grant each fan access to a private fan club area on TheAlbumIsTheTicket.com where they can purchase a "The New Game Tour 2008" concert ticket on a first come, first served basis (while supplies last)." So does this mean I have to buy a second Cd so I can take my husband with me to the show?  ?? If that's true, that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard! You should be able to bring someone with you to a show. ***edit*** I did go back and buy a second cd to be sure the hubby gets a ticket, but I'm still miffed about it! |

I think it was only for the presale that you needed a cd for each ticket purchased. It does suck, they should at least let you buy 2 tix for each cd purchased. But I can see their point sort of...they want to make sure only real fans get the presale tickets, not some douchebag who is going to put them on ebay!

I bought a second CD just so I could get a presale ticket and now I can't buy tickets at all! Ugh! I can't even get a general one, and now I'm worried I won't be able to get another ticket for my boyfriend, and all hopes seemed to be dashed of getting a meet & greet pass for him.  |

I got this email today:
Keeping you up-to-date on all things Mudvayne. You might have caught aglimpse of the official press release (see below). We are psyched to
point out how this will effect our fan club members - in a GREAT WAY. All
of you that pre-ordered the new album through Best Buy will get access to a
free live web cast of one of the upcoming Mudvayne concerts (date TBA).
In addition, any fan club member who has already purchased a ticket to one
of the upcoming shows will get a MEET AND GREET WITH MUDVAYNE. That's
right.. if you ALREADY purchased a ticket(s) using the coupon code you
received from the fan club, you'll be able to meet the band at your show.
The bands wants to take care of those that got their album and ticket early
on. More details about Meet & Greet will be posted at a later date.

Notice that "already" is in all caps. I think it was a nice surprise for them to sneak the meet & greet up on us after we've purchased tickets, but it does suck for others (like your boyfriend) who won't be able to do it because it was only for presales.

What I found interesting with the site is that with all the bullshit with my code I really only had a code for 1 cd purchase and when you sign up for the fan site they ask you how many you bought, since technically I bought 2 I did that and then I got the code and had the option between one or two tickets...I'm guessing you got a different code if you said you only bought 1? I'm all for honesty but I figured that would be a way to get your extra ticket without buying another cd :/ |

I bought two but not at the same time, so I have the code and all that (and created a new username for Nate) but for some reason no tickets are on sale for the Palladium. I e-mailed the the site, the Mudvayne one, and they e-mailed me back saying there would be an announcement "for that event" on the site shortly. Still nothing. I'm worried =/
