www.youtube.com/v/e35VFmvcyE8An aerial view of our fireworks last night. A total of 37 people were injured. A couple had to be transported to other hospitals. It was a pretty crazy experience, chaotic.

It was really pretty from that angle. Sucks about so many people getting injured though.
We always watch them from our house rather than fight the crowd to go to the park. Usually we climb onto the roof for a better view, but it was raining so a little to slippery for me!

I guess it would've been smart for them to fire the fireworks up higher, but I don't know, I guess that didn't make sense at the time.

there hasnt really been too much details yet, they are investigating to find out what really happened. But either something tipped over...or they were blowing out of the side. Either way, they just started shooting into the crowd. It was pretty chaotic, i remember seeing a bunch of green fireworks shooting onto the street in front of us, and everybody was running. Then they stopped, people were back at their seats....and the started coming again. They were hitting cars in the Subway resturant parking lot right across the street from us. Its pretty crazy watching that video and see what was happening. I dont remember hearing any explode (although they were), i just remember seeing the ones that just stay lit and shoot through the air and dont explode, hoping across the ground on the street and noticed that where the bulk of the crowds were was pretty lit up, and everyone around me just running.
The fireworks were going so well too. They were on track for an amazing performance. I think it was just about to start the finale too. We've used this same company for years, and they always put on a phenominal show. I've never seen anything like that before. It was just crazy.

Holy shit! Luckily no one got killed in that mess. I'll bet the onlookers who weren't able to see what was happening were wondering why the Grand Finale came so suddenly.
I'll bet that whomever did the firework rigging didn't secure something tightly or properly, and the whole thing fell over and set everything off.

I saw that on the news. Crazy!
We had fireworks at home but I didn't record them. Maybe next year!
